Odisha Schools To Reopen April 17, Classes To Be Held till 11 AM Amid Heatwave
Bhubaneswar: In view of heatwave condition prevailing across Odisha, the state government today directed the schools to hold morning classes from April 17, Along with schools, Anganwadi centres were also ordered to remain shut this week.
The Government today directed the schools to hold classes in the morning hours only. The classes will be held from 6.30 am to 11 am, an ordered issued by the government stated.
However, taking into account the prevailing heatwave condition in their localities district Collectors can modify school timings, said an official press release.
Further, school authorities have been directed to ensure availability of drinking water and other facilities at the school premises.
