Tragic incident: Six of a family killed as car collides with truck in UP

Balrampur (UP), Apr 8: Six members of a family were killed when a car collided with a truck in Shriduttganj area of Balrampur district here in Uttar Pradesh on Saturday, a senior officer said here.

Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Namrata Shrivastava said that Sonu Sahu, a resident of Deoria district, was returning home from Nainital along with his wife and four children. “Near Galibpur village on Balrampur-Utraula road their car collided with a truck,” she said.

She said that Sonu Sahu, his wife and four children were killed on the spot in the accident. “The bodies have been sent for post mortem examination and efforts are being made to arrest the truck driver. Identity of the other deceased is being ascertained,” she said.
