The election commission of India on Wednesday announced the schedule for by-polls in one parliamentary constituency and 4 assembly constituencies.
The elections in Jharsuguda will be held on May 10, 2023.
The last for nomination filing is April 20 and the scrutiny of the nominations will be conducted on April 21.
Similarly, the candidates can withdraw their papers before April 24. The Counting of the vote will be done on May 13 and the election will be completed by May 15.
It is worth mentioning that, the seat has fallen vacant for almost two months after the murder of Naba Das
Notably, Naba Das’ Deepali Das (BJD) has already intensified her public interactions. and so has Tankadhar Tripathy of BJP. The two newcomers may cross swords in the Assembly soon.
