Recruitment of 20,000 junior teachers in Odisha soon
As a great news for those looking forward to being appointed as teachers in Odisha, The Odisha government announced on Wednesday that it launch a recruitment drive to appoint 20,000 junior teachers.
Earlier today the Information and Public Relations Department Government of Odisha (I and PR) has tweeted about the recruitment of as many as 20,000 teachers on its official Twitter handle.
“Extensive steps have been taken by the School and Mass Education (S&ME) department for the recruitment of teaching and non-teaching staff. About 20 thousand vacant posts of junior teachers in primary schools will be filled up,” the I&PR department tweeted today.
As per sources, trained candidates will be engaged as junior teachers in order to impart quality education to students in primary schools. This will be a scheme-based engagement.
At the same time, the state government has approved the relaxation of the residency period to facilitate the promotion of 54,000 senior teachers and headmasters in Odisha.
The Department also informed that, steps shall be taken to fill up the posts of 7,540 secondary teachers and 6025 Leave and Training Reserve (LTR) teachers.
It is worth mentioning that, the process to fill up the posts of 7,540 secondary teachers has already been undertaken by the Odisha Staff Selection Commission (OSSC). Besides, the process to fill up 6,025 LTR teachers is also underway.
