NIMHANS Team In Jharsuguda To Evaluate Mental Health Of Naba Das’ Murder Accused
Bhubaneswar: A team from the National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences (NIMHANS), Bengaluru, arrived in Jharsuguda on Tuesday to assess the mental health of ASI Gopal Krushna Das, who had shot at Odisha Health Minister Naba Kisore Das on January 29.
The experts are examining Das at the OSAP 2nd Battalion in Jharsuguda. Gopal’s wife had previously claimed that he was being treated for bipolar disorder. The NIMHANS team will verify this information.
The police remand of Gopal ends on Wednesday and the crime scene is expected to be recreated after the NIMHANS assessment of Das’s mental state.
