Bhubaneswar: The Khandagiri Mela, which had been on hold for two years due to Covid restrictions, will begin on Saturday and run until February 10. Preparations for the event are complete.
The Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation, the organizer of the fair, has created a Standard Operation Procedure to ensure a smooth event. Guidelines have been issued for jatra (opera) groups, stall owners, and visitors, including rules for play content and safety measures.
Opera groups are required to obtain clearance from the BMC, police, and fire department before the fair. Arrangements have been made for traffic control and parking at designated locations near the event.
