Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has announced the names of 20 police personnel who will be awarded the Governor’s Medal for the year 2022 for their outstanding service and contributions to the state.
The honorees include Ravikant, IG of Police, Resident Commissioner, Government of Odisha, and Sanjaya Kumar Kaushal, IG, Vigilance, Odisha, who have been selected for the Governor’s Medal in Category I for officers in the ranks of DGP, IGP, and DIG.
Kunwar Vishal Singh, Superintendent of Police, Puri, and Bijaya Chandra Pradhan, OAPS-1 Commandant, OASP, 6th Battalion, Cuttack, will receive the Governor’s Medal in Category II (SP, AIGP and Deputy Commandant).
Ananta Charan Pati, OPS-I, Additional SP, Special Branch, Headquarters, Odisha, and Arun Kumar Swain, OPS, ACP, Zone-I, Cuttack, have been selected for the honor in Category III (Additional SP, DSP and Assistant Commandant).
In Category -IV (Inspector, Reserve Inspector, Subedar Major and Subedar), Ashish Chandra Jena, STF, CID CB, Bhubaneswar; Prashant Kumar Sahoo, Inspector, Aska PS, Ganjam; and Prasanna Kumar Pradhan, Inspector (Armed), 5th IR Battalion, Boudh, will receive the medal.
In Category-V (SI, Sergeant, Drill Sub-Inspector and Deputy Subedar), Adwaitananda Swain, SI, CID CB, Cuttack; Amiya Kumar Routray, SI (Armed), OSAP 4th SS Battalion, Malkangiri; and Ms Namita Nayak, SI, Vigilance Balasore, will receive the Governor’s Medal.
Rabindranath Sahu, ASI, Special Branch Bhubaneswar; Dusmanta Kumar Parida, ASI, Bhubaneswar, UPD; and Dibyaranjan Tripathy, Havildar, R.O., Angul, will receive the medal in Category-VI (ASI, Havildar, and Havildar Major).
Amit Kumar Kar, Constable/14, DIB Bhadrak; Bijaya Kumar Sunasagada, Constable, Cyber Cell Gajapati; Pradeep Kumar Behera, Sepoy, OSAP, 4th Battalion; Adamani Nayak, Constable, BPSPA, Odisha; and Krusha Chandra Mishra, Constable, Vigilance Berhampur Division will receive the medal in Category-VII (Constable, Sepoy and Assistant Driver).
