Bhubaneswar: Shalini Pandit, Commissioner-cum-Secretary of the Health & Family Welfare Department and Chairperson of the State Health Assurance Society (SHAS), reviewed the activities of the Biju Swasthya Kalyan Yojana (BSKY) team and directed them to increase Information, Education & Communication (IEC) efforts and awareness building at the ground level with a people-focused plan.
During the review, Pandit emphasized compliance with feedback received from the public through the Mo Sarkar mechanism in a timely manner and addressing grievances received through toll-free numbers like 104 and 155369.
The meeting also discussed ranking of hospitals according to BSKY performance, with patient satisfaction being the primary criterion. The SHAS Chairperson also emphasized the need for visible signage in hospitals for patients’ convenience. The meeting also addressed functional issues such as internet connectivity, human resources, and software upgrades for online claims. Solutions were proposed, and timelines were set for completion.
