Bhubaneswar: The FIH Men’s Hockey World Cup is set to begin on Friday at the Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar and the Birsa Munda International Hockey Stadium in Rourkela, Odisha. The Indian team, led by Harmanpreet Singh, will play Spain in their opening game of Group D at Rourkela on Friday.
India, currently ranked 6th in the world, is favored to win due to their recent successes and home-field advantage. The Indian team will also face England on January 15th and Wales on January 19th.
The India vs Spain match will take place at 7:00 pm IST on January 13th and can be viewed on Star Sports Select 2 and Star Sports Select 2 HD, the Disney+ Hotstar app and website, and the Watch Hockey app and website.
