Bhubaneswar, Dec 24: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Saturday urged cadets to seize each and every opportunity and live up to the expectations of the nation.
Speaking at the Diamond jubilee celebration of the Sainik school, Patnaik said the school has not only produced some of the finest soldiers of the country, but also a large number of its cadets have made significant.
Achievement in the fields of civil services, medicine, engineering, merchant navy, entrepreneurship and in many other fields. The Chief Minister said the strength of the education system not lies in academic excellence but rests in its ability to empower the students with knowledge, confidence, responsibility and ability to think and face situation of life independently.
Sainik School, Bhubanswar stands apart for its efforts to install the ethos of armed forces and endeavours to awaken the individual potential of each student to serve his or her motherland in every Speer event of life.
He hoped that the the school will continue to bring about the desired transformation in our future citizens.
Patnaik said it is the moment to cherish the glorious and memorable years that the school and its alumni have passed through and to motivate the young minds of boys and girls to emulate the same and urged the students to seize each and every opportunity and live upto the expectations of the school and the nation.

The Chief Minister said set up legendary leader Biju Patnaik in 1962, the Sainik school after 60 glorious years has become a bench mark for quality education, character building, and personality enrichment .
