Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Thursday expressed his grief on the demise of eminent tabla player Pandit Umesh Chandra Kar.
In a condolence message, the Chief Minister described Kar as a great artist. He said that his departure is an irreparable loss to the art industry of the state.
Patnaik announced that the last rites of Kar will be conducted with full State honours.
He expressed his deepest condolences to the bereaved family and prayed for the departed soul to rest in eternal peace.
