Mumbai, Jul 7 : The BSE Sensex on Wednesday advanced by 58 pts to open at 52,919.71 as buying was seen in Materials, FMCG, Finance and Health Care stocks.
While the Nifty was flat at 15,819.60.
The Sensex registered intra days high and low at 53,006 and 52,751.76 pts respectively.
The Nifty registered intra days high and low at 15,850.95 and 15,779.70 pts, respectively.
The Mid Cap fell by 0.10 pc and the Small Cap by 0.07 pc.
In 30 scrips, 16 advanced while 14 declined.
The gainers were HDFC by 1.40 pc to Rs 2528.30, Asian Paints by 1.31 pc to Rs 3043.20, Bajaj Finserv by 1.09 pc to Rs 12,226.35, Sun Pharma by 0.78 pc to Rs 678.50 and ITC by 0.72 pc to Rs 204.
The losers were Titan by 1.89 pc to Rs 1729.95, Ultracemco by 1.16 pc to Rs 6855.15, Tech Mahindra by 1.02 pc to Rs 1039.35 and Infosys by 1 pc to Rs 1546.30.
