Eminent speakers were there at the launch of his autobiography ‘Mane Achhi’, written by eminent lawyer and social activist Umakanta Nanda. A 950-page long book was launched in Mahanadi Bhawan in Cuttack Mahanadi Bihar in the midst of hundreds of literary, intellectuals, and lawyers last Sunday evening.
This event, which was held under the patronage of retired administrator Rabi Narayan Nanda, Justice Bimal Prasad Dash, Editor of Kanak News and MLA Soumya Ranjan Patnaik, President of Odisha Sahitya Academy, Hrushikesh Mallick participated in the event and described the book as a treasure of wisdom of our times. As the author has explained in the book above, it is a combination of a mythological, historical, and travelogue which is literally true.
Apart from this, many emphasized that the flawless depiction of old pure traditions, worldly life, joint family virtues, reading habits, sense of duty, etc. can be exemplary for today’s generation.
The launching ceremony was held at Cuttack, Eastern Zone Lawyers Association organised it and Prabir Mohanty gave the introduction of the guests and Pandit Dayanidhi Satapathy recited the hymns at the beginning, and finally, a vote of thanks was given by Akash Bhuyan.
