Malkangiri: A woman consumed poison after an argument with her husband over a mobile phone at Mpv 14 in Kalimela block of Malkangiri district.
The deceased identified as Jyoti had married Kanai of the village a year back. Soon after their marriage, Kanai bought a mobilephone for Jyoti on monthly installment basis. However, he had not informed Jyoti about the loan.
After the end of the installments, an employee of the finance company visited Kanai’s house to get his signature. As Kanai was absent, Jyoti came to know about the finance.
Later when Kanai returned home, Jyoti had an argument with him and consumed poison. Watching it, Kanai also got critical. Both of them were admitted to the district headquarters hospital where Jyoti was declared dead.
