Incessant rains dampen Odisha Durga puja festival
Bhubaneswar, Oct 4 : A low-pressure area over West-Central Bay of Bengal near Andhra Pradesh coast has dampened the Dussehra celebration in many parts of Odisha. According to the Centre for Environment and Climate (CEC) of SOA university,the low pressure area will oscillate along the Andhra coast for two days.Under its influence, light to moderate weather will continue over Odisha with heavy rainfall at one or two places in the districts of South Odisha on Tuesday and Wednesday.Intense moderate spell in coastal districts including Bhubaneswar and Cuttack city since morning will decrease in the afternoon as the cloud mass will move into interior districts and occasional light spells of rain will continue for next two days.CEC Director S C Sahu said spell wise light to moderate rain will continue over Odisha till October 10 or 11, adding the rain spell will be occasional at sporadic locations
