Odisha: Sand artist creates sculpture of Lord Ganesh with over 7000 seashells

Puri : Renowned sand artist Sudarsan Pattnaik created a sculpture of Lord Ganesh using about seven thousand seashells, at Puri beach in Odisha, it was reported here on Friday.

Pattnaik has created a 5ft high sand sculpture of Lord Ganeshs using seashells with the message “World peace” .

The sand artist described his sculpture as unique and the first of its kind in the world.

Sudarshan had in the past created an installation and art of Lord Ganesh by using plastic bottles .

So far, the Padma awardee sand artist has participated in more than 60 international sand art championships and festivals around the world and won many prizes for the country.

Most of his sand sculptures are based on social awareness topics like World peace, Go green, beach pollution, against terrorism and COVID-19.
