New Delhi : All India Congress Committee (AICC) on Monday approved the appointment of 20 General Secretaries, 46 Secretaries and 32 Executive Committee members for Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee.
In a press release, the Party General Secretary, K C Venugopal said, “The Congress president has approved the proposal of the appointment of office Bearers and Executive Committee members of Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee, with immediate effect,”.
The appointments of 12 Vice Presidents including one Treasurer have also been approved, according to the AICC statement.
The Vice President includes names such as Ganeswar Behera from Kendrapara, Santosh Singh Saluja MLA from Kantabanji, senior leader Sivanand Ray and Saraswati Hembram.
Kishore Chandra Patel has been appointed as Treasurer.
The announcement was made to strengthen the party organisation, struggling to restore its political fortune in Odisha.
