Bhubaneswar : A total of 11,456 posts are lying vacant in the police department in Odisha, informed Minister of state for Home Dibya Shankar Mishra on Monday.
Replying to a question, he said as on 1st August, 11,456 posts were lying vacant in the police department.
Out of this, 13 DIG posts, 15 SP, and 248 Inspector posts were lying vacant, said the Minister.
Mishra further stated that a new criteria is being made to estimate the requirement of police personnel in the State. Necessary steps are being taken by the Home Department to fill up the vacant posts.
