New Delhi, Aug 10: Uttar Pradesh BJP general Secretary (organisation) Sunil Bansal has been appointed party’s national general secretary.
Jharkhand BJP general secretary (organisation) Dharampal has replaced Bansal in Uttar Pradesh.
Uttar Pradesh BJP joint general secretary (organisation) Karamveer has replaced Dharampal in Jharkhand.
In a statement party national general secretary Arun Singh said, “BJP President J P Nadda has appointed Sunil Bansal, general secretary (organisation) Uttar Pradesh, as national general secretary. He has given responsibility of state in-charge of West Bengal, Telangana and Odisha. Appointment is effective from immediate effect.”
In another statement, Singh said, “BJP president J P Nadda has appointed Dharampal, general secretary (organisation) Jharkhand, as general secretary (organisation) of Uttar Pradesh.”
“Party president has appointed Karamveer, joint general secretary (organisation) Uttar Pradesh, as general secretary (organisation) Jharkhand. Appointment is effective from immediate effect,” the statement added.
Bansal, played a key role in BJP’s electoral success in Uttar Pradesh since 2014 Lok Sabha polls to this year assembly polls. Bansal replaced Kailash Vijayvargiya in West Bengal as state in-charge and Tarun Chugh in Telangana.
