When Are We Going To Observe ‘World Day For Humanity? Or Has It Been Boiled To Death
By D N Singh
Many incidents of human transforming itself to beasts (or worse) makes all to entertain the self-doubt as, whether the word ‘human’ fit in to us really. As a refined creation of the Almighty.
Even such bizarre incidents enacted in films even force us into a grief or shock which takes days to recover from despite we know that, those were celluloid creations.
But imagine what would be happening to ones who do bear or witness such beastly acts committed in reality which can burst the nerves of any living beings let alone, the indescribable pain and sufferings of such victims.
When, decades back, the Tandoor killing case took place in New Delhi, the nation heard it and was literally benumbed. How can one do that? It ranted in millions’ conscience.
The soul-shattering incident in 2012 which was capped as ‘Nirbhaya’ requires hardly any repeat. It took the law many years to send the perpetrators to the gallows (yet the most brutal accused was left to reform in a Juvenile home!).
Nor the rape and burning alive of an Ayush doctor in Hyerabad which still leave us in the grips of a phobia. Whereas, the killings of all the four accused in the case in an encounter did hardly stir any conscience of the nation. Such silence speaks volumes.
Brutality committed among-st human apart, our heart rending coldness towards animals also are sometimes unbelievable.
Here’s the lowdown on a few incidents that showcase the brutal nature of people who have brought a huge shame to humanity for their dastardly and cowardly acts.
The body of a leopard with its head & paws cut off in Maharashtra.
A security guard in Gurugram was caught burring street dogs alive!
Or stray dogs tied to vehicles and dragged to death in Mumbai.
Now the most recent being, so demonic, dastardly and excruciating which has taken place two days back in Pakistan.
Gut Wrenching
Gut wrenching that was and cannot be believable by any philosophy of human that, a husband, in front of 6 children, a man killed the wife, boiling her alive in a huge cauldron of an abandoned school. She was boiled to death and the children were forced to see their mother ..no words can fit in for such an act.
The incident reminisce another and more flabbergasting and horrific event. Eleven years ago, a woman was arrested for killing her husband and attempting to fry his body parts because he had planned to marry another woman.
Any count can fail to enlist the vast number of such horrendous.
For sin there is no contour but for sanity, one heart is enough.
These incidents make our blood boil with anger and merit stricter punishment for these heartless and shameless culprits.
