Maharashtra: Shiv Sena Supremo Uddhav Demands Mid-term Election
Mumbai, July 8: After resigning as Maharashtra chief minister a couple of days ago, on Friday, in his first public address, Uddhav Thackeray demanded fresh elections in the state.
Uddhav also said he would not let the rebels led by Eknath Shinde use Shiv Sena’s poll symbol.
“I am saying again lets have the assembly polls now, instead of doing this drama, if we are wrong then the people will decide, you why did you spend so many crores to put a system where we could have done it (having a 2.5 year power sharing government) without having any fight. I am saying let the people decide.”
