Olympic champion puts medal on auction
New York, July 3 : Six-time olympic champion American swimmer Ryan Lochte put his three silver and as many as bronze olympic medal for auction.
Lochte’s six medals will be auctioned this month at RR Auction out of Boston, Massachusetts.
The medals are up for auction as three items.The first item up for auction is Lochte’s 2004 Athens Olympic silver medal. The next item(s) up for auction are Lochte’s two bronze medals from the 2008 Beijing Olympics. The final auction item is the two silver medals and one bronze medal Lochte won at the 2012 London Olympics.
The 37-year-old American has won a total of 12 medals inclunding six golds, which are not the part of auction lot. This unprecedented collection of medals him as the second-most decorated swimmer in Olympic history with Natalie Coughlin, Dara Torres, and Jenny Thompson.
