Yellow Warning! Heavy to very heavy rains likely to lash these five districts; read to know more
Bhubaneswar : Regional Center of Indian Meteorological Department in Bhubaneswar in it,s latest bulletin has mentioned that as many as five districts in Odisha will witness heavy to very heavy rain in the next 24 hours. A low monsoon trap line has been active over west Bay of Bengal from Jharkhand to south coast of Odisha up to 1.5 kilometer from the sea level. Under its effect a low pressure is likely to be formed over North-East Bay of Bengal along the West-Central Coast of Odisha in the next 48 hours.
The Meteorological department has issued a yellow warning for Malkangiri, Koraput, Keonjhar, Nabarangpur and Mayurbhanj districts. Kandhamal, Dhenkanal, Angul, Nuapada, Bolangir and Kalahandi will also experience heavy rainfall today and tomorrow. The effect of the low pressure is likely to be severe on August 16 and 17. Moreover, interior pockets of Odisha will witness heavy rain on August 18.
