Don’t Stifle Pandits, Says Kejriwal
New Delhi, June 1: Alleging that terrorism was again haunting Kashmiri Pandits, AAP leader and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Wednesday accused the Central government of muzzling their voice whenever they protest against killings of their community members.
“The atrocities of the 90s era is again haunting the Kashmiri Pandits,” Kejriwal said in a digital address. “They are being killed by terrorists. Sixteen have lost their lives so far this year. On top of that, the Central government muzzles their voice when they protest against these killings. This is injustice.”
Kejriwal urged the Central government to provide security to the community.
“We cannot let the era of the 90s terror to return in the (Kashmir) Valley. The Delhi government will support by all means the Centre in whatever capacity we are asked to aid in the welfare of Kashmiri Pandits,” he said.
Terrorists shot dead a Hindu woman teacher but not a member of the Pandit community in Kashmir on Tuesday.
