New Delhi, April 28: Congress MP Rahul Gandhi on Thursday took a jibe at Prime Minister Narendra Modi over various issues and alleged that Modi’s federalism was not cooperative but “coercive”.
“High Fuel prices – blame states, Coal shortage – blame states, Oxygen shortage – blame states. Sixty-eight per cent of all fuel taxes are taken by the Centre. Yet, the PM abdicates responsibility. Modi’s federalism is not cooperative. It’s coercive,” he tweeted.
The statement came a day after the Prime Minister asked the state government to reduce tax on petrol and diesel as he mentioned that the Centre had reduced excise in November.
