BREAKING: Odisha Heatwave: Schools Closed Till 30th Apr’

Bhubaneswar, Apr 25: A sigh of relief for students and parents of Odisha. The School and Mass-education Dept. has declared a holiday of 5 days for all public and private schools through out the state from Tuesday onwards.

The department has taken this decision due to intense heat-wave conditions through out Odisha in last couple of days.

Northwesterly/Westerly dry air and high solar insolation has caused the consistent temperature rise up to 2 to 3 degree Celsius over most of the districts of Interior Odisha, western and Coastal Odisha.

However, the exams of 10th and 12th Standards shall be held as per schedule, and not be affected because of the holidays till Saturday, the S&ME Department said.
