Zelenskyy To Address UNSC
Kyiv, April 5 (UNI) Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy will be addressing virtually at a meeting of the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) on Tuesday for the first time since Russia launched its invasion.
According to BBC, the President is expected to call on countries to hit Moscow with tougher sanctions, following his Monday visit to Bucha – the site of alleged civilian killings by Russian soldiers.
He has accused Russia of committing genocide and also warned that more worse discoveries will be made as Russian troops withdraws from areas near Kyiv. Meanwhile, Russia has denied targeting civilians in Bucha and areas in northern Ukraine. Following the withdrawal of Russian forces from Ukraine’s Bucha town, fresh images have revealed pictures of bodies of at least 20 civilians littering the streets. The civilians killed were found in awkward positions. While some bodies were face down the pavement, some were facing upwards with mouths open, the international media reported.
