6 More Tainted Officials Served With Compulsory Retirement On Grounds Of Corruption And Inefficiency
Bhubaneswar, Mar 23: The Odisha Government has given compulsory retirement to six more officials on grounds of corruption and inefficiency.
The officials include a chief engineer, three executive engineers and two block education officers (BEOs).
With this, the State Government has taken action against 164 corrupt and inefficient officials, so far.
Sambalpur Chief Engineer–cum-Chief Electrical Inspector Sunil Kumar Panda, Executing Engineer of Rural Works (Electrical) Division in Berhampur Jagannath Sethy, Executive Engineer, (Testing and Calibration), Bhubaneswar Deepak Kumar Bhuyan, Executive Engineer (ED & Inspection), Bhubaneswar Prashant Kumar Mishra, Gunupur Block Education Officer Antaryami Behera and Nuagada Block Education Officer Braja Kumar Nayak have been given compulsory retirement for corruption.
Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has always stressed on the significance of transparency in the administration. He has been continuing efforts to provide services to the people through a transparent, efficient and accountable administration while upholding integrity and morality in public life, according to a statement.
