Kyiv, March 9: Several videos of Ukrainians singing their national anthem while crying their hearts out or playing music amid the escalation with Russia has already gone viral on social media. There was the pianist playing ‘What a Beautiful Word’ in the railway square in Lviv, as passengers rushed by to board trains. Then there was the young girl singing ‘Let it Go’ in an underground shelter. Now an international journalist covering the crisis has shared the Ukrainian army band playing Bobby McFerrin’s ‘Don’t Worry, Be Happy’ in front of barricades shielding the opera and ballet theatre in Odesa. The BBC has verified this footage. As we enter the 14th day of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, efforts are afoot to save as many lives as possible from the war-hit zones.
