Mumbai, March 7: The equity market continued to slide for the fourth consecutive session on Monday, as the BSE Sensex plunged 1,674 points, below 53,000 at 52,659.32 amid weak global cues. All the sectoral indices were in red. The same picture was seen in scrips too. The Nifty too slid 450 points to 15,794.55. The Sensex registered days high and low at 53,172.51 and 52,597.83 points, respectively.
The Nifty registered days high and low at 15,906.25 and 15,789.50 points. respectively. The Mid Cap slipped 3.09 per cent and Small Cap by 2.95 pc. The losers were Maruti Suzuki by 6.33 per cent to Rs 6,785.95, Bajaj Finserv by 5.32 per cent to Rs 14,514.90, SBI by 5.16 per cent to Rs 438.10, IndusInd Bank by 5.12 per cent to Rs 856.75 and L&T by 5.07 per cent to Rs 1,624.95.
