Mumbai, March 3: The BSE Sensex on Thursday recovered 92 points at 55,561.58 in opening session as buying was seen across the board. The Nifty too moved up 42.20 points at 16,648.15. Tumbling down over 700 points on Wednesday, the equity market was seen improved on the strength of sectoral indices.
The Sensex registered days high and low at 55,996.62 and 55,482.30 points respectively. The Nifty registered days high and low at 16,768.95 and 16,610.40 points respectively. The Mid Cap rose 0.51 per cent and Small Cap by 0.95 per cent. The gainers were Tech Mahindra by 3 per cent to Rs 1435.38, Wipro by 2.47 per cent to Rs 569, HCL Technology by 2.08 per cent to Rs 1139.85, Tata Steel by 1.58 per cent to Rs 1308.85,and Infosys by 1.23 per cent to Rs 1724. The losers were Asian Paints by 2.81 per cent to Rs 2931.70, Ultracemco by 1.57 per cent to Rs 6295.20, Kotak Bank by 1.09 per cent to Rs 1783.80 and Dr Reddy’s Lab by 0.77 per cent to Rs 3824.50.
