As Cases Dip, UAE Nationals Exempted From COVID Test

Chennai, Feb 23: As there has been a considerable dip in daily COVID cases, the Emirates-India today announced that UAE nationals are exempted from taking a COVID-19 PCR test before departing for Dubai. A release from the Chennai airport here said however, they must be tested on arrival in Dubai, irrespective if they are holding a valid negative RT-PCR certificate from the point of origin.

This is also applicable for passengers accompanying a first degree UAE nationals’ relative or domestic worker escorting a UAE national sponsor during travel. The release said children under the age of 12 and passengers who have a moderate or severe disability are elso exempted from taking a RT-PCR test.
