New Delhi, Feb 22: Amid rumours making rounds, a latest addition to the upcoming President’s list has made people anxious about Who’ll Be the Next President? The candidate is none other than Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar who is likely to contest the Presidential election. Presidential election is likely to take place in in June-July 2022.
According to reports, Opposition parties have started working on this plan as the President is indirectly elected by an electoral college consisting of the elected members of both the Houses of Parliament.
This started making headlines soon after, Telangana CM K Chandrashekhar Rao met his Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray and NCP chief Sharad Pawar as part of their efforts to bring some like-minded parties together against the BJP.
It is also being said that the election strategist Prashant Kishor is behind this. Also, not to forget that plans about Nitish Kumar’s being the President candidate started when KCR and Prashant Kishor met in Hyderabad this month.
