Kolkata, Feb 18 : Kieron Pollard on Friday became the first West Indies cricketer to play 100 matches in the T20 International format. Pollard achieved the feat in the second game of the three-match series against India here at the Eden Gardens. Nicholas Pooran presented his captain with a special ‘100’ jersey, while Jason Holder gave a cap to celebrate Pollard’s contribution to West Indies cricket. “CENTURY! The #MenInMaroon skipper @KieronPollard55 plays his 100th T20I tonight. WI presented him with some memorabilia to mark the occasion!” tweeted Windies Cricket. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) also took to Twitter to share a video of Pollard receiving his 100th T20I cap and jersey, saying, “Congratulations to West Indies Skipper @KieronPollard55, who is all set to play his 100th T20 International”
