Taylena Wishes ‘Happy Galentine’s Day’
Los Angeles, Feb 14: On the eve of Valentine’s Day, best friends and singers Selena Gomez and Taylor Swift, who are popularly known as Taylena, wished ‘Happy Galentine’s Day’. Galentine’s Day, which falls on February 13, is a blend of gal and Valentine’s Day meant for girls to celebrate their friendship. It originated from a popular TV show ‘Parks and Recreation’.
ENews quoted Taylena as saying, “It’s nice to have a friend. Happy Galentine’s Day” along with multiple musical notes and a red heart emojis. Selena and Taylor have been besties for years. They had dated members of the Jonas Brothers almost at the same time in 2008. It was then the girls became BFFs. In 2014, at the Met Gala, Taylor told E!Online: “It’s been the longest one (friendship) I think either of us had really. “When your life changes and you become thrust into this really strange whirlwind where what your life is, is different from what other people think your life is. And your life is commented on and your life is written about and fictionalized and all that. “Both of us have kind of struck it out and hung in there through all the different changes we’ve gone through. Longevity is something you really can find very precious and rare in friendships.” U
