Odisha Speaker Shocked Over Centre’s Response On Legislative Council Resolution Although Sent
Bhubaneswar: Odisha Assembly Speaker Surjya Narayana Patro has said that, he is very surprised by the Center’s reply that they have not received any resolution regarding establishment of Legislative Council in the state.
Speaking to media persons today, Patro said he is very much surprised by the Law Minister’s reply in the Parliament that the Center had not received any resolution passed by the Odisha Assembly on setting up Legislative Council in Odisha. He said, the Odisha Assembly had passed the resolution on establishment of Legislative Council in the state on 18th September, 2018 and the same was sent to the Centre, requesting to pass a resolution on the matter. The Resolution was submitted to Lok Sabha, Rajya Sabha and Secretary, Ministries of Parliamentary Affairs and Law.
