Kolkata, Feb 9 (UNI) The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has summoned Bengali film actor and Trinamool Congress Lok Sabha member Dev in cattle smuggling case on February 15, official sources said here on Wednesday. The central probe agency, investigating the cattle smuggling and its money trails, in a notice has directed the Ghatal MP, Dev ( Dipak Adhikari), to appear before the CBI officials at its Nizam Palace office in the city at 11 am on February 15. Sources said the CBI officials during the course of the cattle smuggle case and subsequent arrest of some suspects came to know that West Midnapore district’s Ghatal was one of the routes for transit points in cattle trafficking.
The CBI officials wanted to know from the local TMC MP if he knew anything about the smuggling. . According to sources, Dev’s name has been linked to one of the prime cow smugglers Inamul Haque, who has been arrested in the cattle smuggling case.
