Chandigarh, Feb 8: Reacting to the reported confession made by Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi’s nephew Bhupinder Singh Honey during his interrogation by the Enforcement Directorate, the Aam Aadmi Party on Tuesday said that it has become clear that the ‘money’ found at the house of Channi’s nephew Honey belonged to Channi.
Addressing a press conference here, AAP’s Punjab affairs co-in-charge Raghav Chadha said that with this confession, a new chapter has been added to the love story of Honey, Money and Channi. He took a jibe at the matter and said, “When Honey got the money, Honey confessed that it was Channi’s money.” Chadha said that CM Channi’s nephew has admitted this by registering his confession before the ED and has said that the amount of Rs ten crore which was recovered from him during the raid, all this money came from the mining contracts that were given when Channi was chief minister and the transfer-posting going on during his tenure.
He said that Honey has clearly admitted that all this money came from sand mafia and transfer-posting scam. Chadha said that on the other hand Channi is saying that do not associate him with his sister-in-law’s son, he is different and Channi is different, he has nothing to do with Honey, his fault is only that he could not keep an eye on his relatives. The AAP leader said that today it has become clear that the son of Channi’s sister-in-law Honey used to collect money by acting as agent of Channi and Channi was earning money from illegal sand mining and transfer-posting. Honey was just an agent, the mastermind was Channi.
He said that if Channi had not blessed his collection agent and nephew Honey, Honey would not have had the security of the Chief Minister’s security commandos and pilot jeeps would not have been allotted to him. He said that Honey had all the facilities that a minister of Punjab government has. It is clear from this that whatever Honey was doing, Channi was behind it. The money found with Honey belongs to Channi. Therefore, a new chapter has been added to the love story of Honey, Money and Channi.
