Mumbai, Feb 2: The BSE Sensex remained strong on Wednesday too, as it shot up 428 pts at 59,290.83 as fresh buying was seen across the board. The Nifty too rose 132.65 pts at 17,709.50. The sensex registered days high and low at 59,389.74 and 59,193.05 pts respectively.
The Nifty registered days high and low at 17,732.75 and 17,674.80 pts respectively. The Mid Cap moved up 0.87 pc and Small Cap by 1.18 pc. In 30 scrips, 29 advanced while 1 declined.
The gainers were Bajaj Finserv by 2.84 pc to Rs 16,342.90, Bajaj finance by 2.40 pc to Rs 7193.10, Kotak Bank by 2.37 pc to Rs 1930.30, IndusInd Bank by 2.32 pc to Rs 943.40 and Axis Bank by 1.60 pc to Rs 793.55. The sole loser was Tech Mahindra by 3.29 pc to Rs 1457.50.
