12 killed In Afghan Earthquake
Qala-e-Naw, Afghanistan, Jan 17: At least 12 people were killed and many others wounded after a magnitude 5.6 earthquake hit Afghanistan’s western province of Badghis on Monday, a local official said.
The source added that multiple houses were affected by the quake which occurred at midday, and that the number of casualties may rise.
The earthquake jolted Badghis at 11:40 GMT on Monday, the US Geological Survey said.
