Canadian Barred From Meeting His Kid, Know Why
Ottawa, Jan 14: A Canadian father was temporarily barred from visiting his 12-year-old child as he was unvaccinated against coronavirus, according to media reports.
It is not in the child’s best interest to come in contact with the father due to recent surge in Coronavirus cases in Quebec province, a judge ruled.
The ruling came on the father’s request to extend his visitation time during the holidays.
According to BBC, the mother, who opposed the father’s initial request to extend his visitation time, told the court she recently discovered he was unvaccinated.
She used his social media posts to show that the father is a vaccine-sceptic.
She lives with her partner and two other children who are too young to get doses, the mother told the court.
The judge has barred the rights to visit his child till February, unless he gets the jabs.
