Australia won the toss and decided to bat first. After this, Marnus Labuschagne along with Steve Smith took over the innings and took the score beyond 200. Labuschagne returned to the pavilion after scoring 72 runs. In the current test series Travis Head, who scored two consecutive centuries, could not even open his account this time and gave his wicket to Bumrah. Actually, this has happened in the history of BGT after 2015 when 4 top order batsmen of Australia have scored half-centuries in a test match. Earlier this feat was seen in the Sydney Test in 2015.
