West Indies squad announced for test series against Pakistan, this player got place for the first time
West Indies Test Squad For Pakistan Tour: West Indies has announced its squad for the two-Test series against Pakistan. Young and experienced players have got a chance in the team. Craig Brathwaite has been made the captain of the team. Team star spinner Gudakesh Moti has returned. He did not play in the two Test matches against Bangladesh at home as he was participating in the Global Super League at that time. Now he has returned to national duty.
Aamir Jangu got a chance
Wicketkeeper batsman Aamir Jangu has been included in the Test team for the first time. He has shown strong performance in domestic cricket for some time now and has been successful in impressing everyone with his game. In the four-day domestic tournament he scored 500 runs in five matches at an average of 63.50 with two centuries and one half-century, becoming Trinidad and Tobago’s leading run-scorer. Aamir Jangu recently made his ODI debut against Bangladesh and led the team to victory by scoring a brilliant century in the very first match. There is every possibility that he will debut in the Test.
Shamar Joseph is out of the series
On the other hand, star fast bowler Shamar Joseph has been kept out of the Test series. He is injured and has a problem in his calf. Due to this reason he also missed the ODI series against Bangladesh. Alzarri Joseph has also not been selected in the Test squad. West Indies team will miss both of them.
