Big announcement regarding Kho-Kho World Cup 2025, everyone will get free entry
Kho-Kho World Cup 2025: Spectators will get free entry into the stadium during the first Kho-Kho World Cup matches to be held in India. Kho-Kho Federation of India (KKFI) president and head of the World Cup organizing committee, Sudhanshu Mittal, made the announcement in a media release on Sunday. He said that the purpose of this event is to inspire the new generation of sports. Therefore, stadium entry will be kept free for spectators in both men’s and women’s matches. Sudhanshu Mittal also told that snacks will also be provided to the school children who will come to the stadium to watch this World Cup. This initiative will inspire the audience, especially the young generation, to engage with the game and help establish Kho-Kho as a premier sport.
Kho-Kho World Cup begins
This tournament will be held in India from 13 January to 25 January 2025. The matches will be hosted at Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium in New Delhi and Noida Indoor Stadium in Noida. In this competition, 21 teams will participate in the men’s category and 20 teams in the women’s category. The first match of this World Cup will be played between India and Pakistan. This tournament is a historic moment for Kho-Kho, as for the first time the game is being presented as such a major competition on a global platform. Such events are very important for the promotion of Kho-Kho, which is a traditional game of India. This will not only provide an international platform to the players, but the young generation will also get a chance to join this game.
These teams will participate
The national camp of 60 men’s and 60 women’s players for the Kho Kho World Cup is currently going on at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium and the Indian team for the competition will be selected from among these players. USA, England, Germany, Australia, New Zealand and Brazil are among the teams that have confirmed their participation in the tournament. The competition will be conducted in league-cum-knockout format for both men and women. Among Asian countries, Indonesia will send only its women’s team, while all other countries will send their men’s and women’s teams.
