Even before IPL, 18 year old Mumbai Indians player made a world record, such a miracle happened for the first time.
IPL 2025 is to be organized next year but Mumbai Indians players have already started wreaking havoc. Last month, in the mega auction of IPL 2025 held in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, the 18-year-old Afghan spinner was bought for a huge amount of Rs 4 crore 80 lakh. Now this spin bowler has created a sensation by taking his second 5 wicket haul at the age of 18. The name of this young Afghan spinner is Allah Ghazanfar, whose international debut was in March this year. After debut, this spin bowler has created a big record of taking 5 twice in just 11 matches. This is the first time in the history of ODI cricket that a bowler has made a world record of taking 5 wickets in ODI twice before the age of 20.
18 year old bowler created a record
In the third and last match of the ODI series played between Zimbabwe and Afghanistan at Harare Sports Club on 21 December, Allah Ghazanfar made half the team his victim by giving just 33 runs in 10 overs. Earlier in the month of November, Ghazanfar had created history by taking his 5 wicket haul in the ODI match played against Bangladesh in Sharjah. Then at the age of 18 years and 231 days, he became the 5th youngest bowler in the world to take 5 wicket haul in ODI. Now Ghazanfar has achieved this feat for the second time and has achieved a big position in ODI cricket.
Miracle happened for the first time
Before Ghazanfar, at the age of 19, Mujeeb Ur Rahman, Waqar Younis, Rashid Khan, Gulshan Jha, Wasim Akram, Aftab Ahmed, Taskin Ahmed, Aaqib Javed, Shaheen Shah Afridi, Naseem Shah, Sandeep Lamichhane, Mustafizur Rahman, Abdul Razzaq, Shariz Ahmed and Saqlain Mushtaq had achieved the feat of taking five wickets but none of these bowlers took the wicket twice. It couldn’t do wonders. Ghazanfar has become the first and only bowler in the world to do so. After this feat, Mumbai Indians fans have become very excited about Ghazanfar.
