In the third and last deciding match of this series played on 19 December, Mandhana played a brilliant inning of 77 runs in 47 balls and also played an important role in taking the team’s score to 217 runs in 20 overs. In comparison to this score, West Indies women’s team managed to reach only 157 runs in 20 overs and had to face defeat in the match by 60 runs. Mandhana has also created a new record in a Women’s T20 International with her innings of 77 runs in which she has broken the record of Sri Lankan player Chamari Atapattu.

In the year 2024, Smriti Mandhana has played a total of 23 T20 International matches, in which she batted in 21 innings and scored a total of 763 runs at an average of 42.38, in which her strike rate was 126.53, while she also saw 8 half-century innings with her bat. Apart from this, Mandhana also returned to the pavilion unbeaten in three innings. Along with this, Smriti Mandhana has also become the highest run scorer in a calendar year of Women’s T20 International. Earlier this record was in the name of Sri Lankan veteran player Chamari Atapattu, who had scored 720 runs at an average of 40 in 21 matches this year, which included 2 centuries and 4 half-centuries.
