Major changes in Gujarat’s coaching staff, bowling coach becomes IPL debutant at the age of 41

Last month, the mega auction of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 was organized in Jeddah city of Saudi Arabia and now the auction of Women’s Premier League i.e. WPL 2025 is going to be held. The WPL 2025 auction will take place on December 15 in Bengaluru. Before this auction, WPL franchise Gujarat Lions has made a major change in the coaching staff.

Ahead of the WPL auction, Adani Sportsline-owned Gujarat Giants have included 2 experienced coaches in their coaching staff. The move is aimed at building a strong squad for the coming season. Gujarat Giants has appointed Praveen Tambe as the new bowling coach while Daniel Marsh has been appointed as the batting coach. Michael Klinger, who joined the team last season, will remain as head coach. Praveen Tambe, who is known for his brilliant debut in the IPL at the age of 41, also has a lot of coaching experience. Earlier, he has worked with IPL teams like Kolkata Knight Riders and Lucknow Super Giants.

On joining Gujarat, Tambe said that joining Gujarat Giants as bowling coach is an exciting new chapter in my cricket journey. He is looking forward to working with this talented group of players to hone their skills and help them improve.

Objective to create a strong batting unit

Daniel Marsh served as the head coach of the Tasmania men’s team from 2013 to 2017, and in 2022, he was appointed assistant coach of the Australian women’s cricket team. Marsh, known for his extensive coaching experience, said he is excited to join Gujarat Giants. He is keen to develop a fearless approach to our batting with the aim of making his team one of the strongest batting units in the WPL.
