Ajinkya Rahane, who is out of Test team, is creating ruckus in T20, now played another stormy innings.
Ajinkya Rahane may be out of the Test team at present, but he is still considered a Test batsman. However, at present Rahane is making waves with his bat in T20 also. Rahane is currently playing in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy and is playing a big role in his team’s victory in almost every match. Ajinkya Rahane played a stormy inning of 84 runs against Vidarbha.
Rahane scored 84 runs on only 45 balls, hitting 10 fours and three sixes.
Ajinkya Rahane, playing for Mumbai in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, played a brilliant inning of 84 runs on 45 balls against Vidarbha. During this, he hit 10 fours and three sixes. His strike rate was around 186. Meanwhile, he was paired with Prithvi Shaw, who played an attractive inning of 49 runs on 26 balls. However he could not complete his half-century. Mumbai achieved the target of 222 runs given by Vidarbha with four balls remaining and directly entered the semi-finals.
Rahane is continuously showing great performance in T20.
It is not that Ajinkya Rahane has shown the threat of his bat only in this match. Earlier, against Andhra Pradesh, Rahane had surprised everyone by playing an inning of 95 runs on 53 balls. However, he could score only 22 runs against Services. But even before this he had scored 68 runs on 35 balls against Kerala. The first thing that comes from this is that Rahane has become less of a Test batsman and more of a T20 batsman at this time. It is not known whether he will play for Team India or not, but after some time his power will definitely be visible in the IPL.
Rahane will play for KKR in IPL 2025
KKR has included him in its team for IPL 2025. He came in the auction at a base price of Rs 1.5 crore, at this price he was bought by Kolkata Knight Riders. Before this, he had also played for CSK for two years. From the year 2024 till now, it happened only in 2022 that he could not play IPL, rest of the years his magic is visible there also. Now it remains to be seen whether Rahane’s current form will continue till the IPL.
