Joe Burns played the role of opening batsman for Australia.

Burns had moved to Italy in May this year. Brisbane-born Burns was eligible to play for Italy through his mother’s heritage and made his debut for the Italy national team in June. This was the second time he made his international debut. Burns said in a statement on Thursday that I am honored to take on this role and represent Italy on the international stage. If we take a look at his international career, he has scored 1442 runs in 40 innings of 23 test matches. During this period his average has been 36.97. On the other hand, he has also played 6 ODI matches for Australia. However, he could not play a single T20 match for Australia. He made his T20 International debut for the Italian team.
