In the Under-19 Asia Cup 2024, the Indian team has won the match against Japan by 211 runs. Batting first, India had given a target of 340 runs to Japan, in response to which the Japanese team could score only 128 runs. The bowlers and batsmen performed amazingly for the Indian team. India has won its first match of the tournament. Earlier, India had to face a humiliating defeat against Pakistan by 43 runs.
Mohammad Aman played a strong innings
Captain Mohammad Aman played an amazing inning for the Indian team. He took some time to settle down at the crease, once he did. After that he played a stormy innings. Japan’s bowlers were completely ineffective against him. The Indian captain played a brilliant inning of 122 runs in 118 balls, which included seven fours. It was because of him that Team India was successful in making a big score against Japan.
Unmukt Chand’s record broken
Mohammad Aman has become the captain who played the biggest innings for India in the Under-19 Asia Cup by scoring 122 runs. He has destroyed the record of Unmukt Chand. Unmukt played an inning of 121 runs against Pakistan in the Under-19 Asia Cup in 2012. Now Aman has gone ahead of them. Unmukt has announced his retirement from all formats of cricket to play for India. Now he has started playing in USA. Apart from this, he has also played in Major Cricket League, Big Bash League and Bangladesh Premier League.
Ayush Mahatre and KP Karthikeya scored half-centuries
Apart from Mohammad Aman, KP Karthikeya and Ayush Mahatre played strong innings in the match against Japan. Both these players supported the captain well and played an important role in the team’s victory. Ayush batted strongly from the beginning of the innings, but was out on a personal score of 54 runs. Whereas Karthikeya scored 57 runs. On the other hand, Vaibhav Suryavanshi, who got Rs 1.10 crore in the IPL mega auction, flopped badly and could score only 23 runs.
